That’s a wrap on TM Forum Digital Transformation World!
From the 20th to the 22nd of September Bit2win flew to Copenhagen, ready to bring its expertise in innovative and digital technologies to TM Forum.
About TM Forum
In 2022, Bit2win became part of the TM Forum, an over 850-member association that brings companies from 180 countries together. The goal is to drive collaboration and stimulate collective problem-solving to improve the business success of communication and digital service providers and their suppliers around the world. TM Forum supports its members in their digital transformation ecosystem, providing them with the right tools to make execution and innovation faster and more efficient.
Our Catalyst Project
As trailblazers in digital transformation, we at Bit2win were glad to join the Catalyst Program. Catalysts are projects developed collaboratively by TM Forum members to bring together large and small companies and make them co-create innovative solutions.
Particularly, we were part of the “ASYNC OPEN APIs FOR EVENT BASED ARCHITECTURES” project, aiming at standardizing IT ecosystems and bringing greater interoperability among them.
But why is it so important?
For various realities, an asynchronous and event-based architecture would be a great solution to reach important objectives such as:
- Lowering the time and cost of integrating new components and capabilities to support agile innovation;
- Enabling a more efficient data sharing;
- Reducing dependency on a centralized business process, making external business units and localized components work together as a choreographed architecture.
In order to reach these goals, many CSPs are now considering implementing event-based architectures into their strategies and the project we took part in plays an important role in making this process simpler.
Together with all the other project’s participants, we delivered interesting solutions to convert Open APIs to AsyncAPIs, to build a defined structure and interaction pattern for event queues supporting event notifications and responses, and to prove that several independent ODA components and vendor solutions can interoperate successfully with an event-based architecture.
Best New Catalyst in Show Award
Each year the TM Forum Excellence Awards reward leading companies worldwide that, through their participation in catalyst projects, have distinguished themselves by obtaining important results for digital transformation. The awards recognize achievements in innovation, proof-of-concepts for industry standards and impact on sustainability goals.
As we worked very hard as a team to give our best in this project, we are glad to announce that this year the “Best new catalyst in show” award was assigned to the “ASYNC OPEN APIs FOR EVENT BASED ARCHITECTURES” project born from the collaboration of Bit2win, Aria, BT Group, CityFibre, Epam, Orange, Jio, Tech Mahindra, Telenor Group, Verizon, Vodafone and Yupiik.
For Bit2win it was an honor to be able to actively participate in the realization of this project, collaborating and creating a team of professionals capable of achieving important goals! A special thanks to our colleagues Damiano Siviero and Daniele Carigi for their great work and commitment as well as Enrico Purificato and Kevin Pereira, who gave their precious contribution for the project’s success.
